Talk Overview

In the first webinar of a series, Dr. Jacobson will map the psychological foundations of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR & AR), and the broader category of immersive media to which they belong. The talk addresses the foundational concepts of VR and AR in a manner suitable for a wide audience, from clinicians who may use these technologies to developers who create healthcare applications. Dr. Jacobson will give his perspective on the usage of VR and AR in healthcare today, including his projection of how they are likely to evolve in the field in the future. The talk will conclude with an expert conversation between Ms. LeMoine and Dr. Jacobson. The audience will have an opportunity to ask Ms. LeMoine and Dr. Jacobson questions.
