Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), together called Mixed reality (MxR) gaining importance in Neurosurgery as it helps to select approaches and identify key anatomic landmarks intraoperatively.
The first 100 consecutive cases performed by Dr. Jean in which MxR was intended for use were retrospectively analyzed for specific contributions to the operation. Seventeen cases in the study cohort were matched with historical non-MxR cases for comparison of outcome parameters. The cases in which MxR failed were plotted over time to determine the nature of the learning curve. Join us to discover the results and learning outcomes directly from Dr. Jean.
