Dr. Jacobson will outline the development process for creating XR-based training simulations, from needs assessment with stakeholders, design collaboration with clinical instructors, hardware selection, software development, iterative improvement while piloting, mature deployment, and impact evaluation. We will look at a couple of examples from his team’s experience at Boston Children’s hospital and talk a bit about trends in the medical segment of the XR-for-training market.
